Eat:
There are so many amazing places to eat in Bristol, and I love eating so much, I can't even begin! As a start perhaps try:
Bertha's on Wapping Wharf for some interestingly topped sour dough pizza.
Bar Buvette on Baldwin Street (middle of town) for some French style tapas (a little pricey, but really good, also cool just for a drink).
Bosco on Whiteladies Rd the food here is amazing.
Almost anywhere on Wapping Wharf - Little Victories does great coffee, cake, G&T's and crafty type beers, and the Cargo Cantina in Cargo 2 does great tacos and mescal (if you dare).
Stay:
Near the bus station, there are loads of options including a hostel and the Premmy Inn. I'm sure you could bag an Airbnb somewhere nearer Bloc though, or around Gloucester Road which is a great spot with loads of places to eat and drink.
A post WCS drink:
I don't really know anywhere immediately near Bloc, so would either head up Gloucester Road, or into town, depending on budget.
Strawberry Thief is a gem in town, on Broad Street (does great food too).
Grain Barge is fab for its location - I like to sit and watch the rowers, sail boats, and fledgling paddle boarders pootling about.
Hyde & Co - for a ridiculous cocktail!
Also, the gin bar Psychopomp on St Michaels Hill, The Highbury Vaults on St Michaels Hill for a proper old man pub, or the Porter Stores on Cotham Road South...
CLIMBING:
Being fairly new to Bristol, and mainly a sport climber, we've dipped a toe locally in the Avon Gorge and at Rhossili so far. Portland is only two hours away. There is loads more to get out and explore though! You'll mainly find me climbing in sunny climes, I've been having an affair with Kalymnos for several years now. (I have Reynauds which makes UK climbing a bit painful!)

Gear shops:
Dick's Climbing is the best dedicated climbing shop. But in town there is also a well stocked Cotswold, and an Ellis Brigham up the top of Whiteladies Road.
Wall:
I mainly climb at Redpoint - good routes, training facilities, and a bar! - and boulder at Bloc and TCA.
Place to get a brew:
Little Victories is ace, Friska, Pinkmans, Iron Works - once again, there are too many to list! I'm trying to get round them all, nowhere has disappointed so far..
I'm fairly new to Bristol, but have been making my way round local eats and drinks, and loving it all!
